A breakout above its 200DMA would represent a meaningful step toward repairing the long-term decline. The 5.0% dividend yield also makes HRL appealing for income-focused portfolios if the stock can break its 4-year downtrend. HRL recently traded near a 13-year low, has a 15.7 forward P/E, and a 1.0 forward price/sales ratio.

Hormel Foods Corp (HRL) gained 12.6% post-earnings, breaking out above its 50DMA and testing resistance at its 200DMA.

Delta Air Lines (DAL)

Description: Delta Air Lines provides passenger and cargo air transportation services.
Technical status: Delta Air Lines Inc (DAL) rose alongside its upper Bollinger Band , broke out to all-time highs, and maintained impressive momentum.
Trade commentary: DAL is one of the strongest airline stocks in the market. In a news heavy week for the company, the stock surged 11.3% on Thursday and followed up with a similar gain on Friday. Even though the heavy trading volume supports the move, I expect the stock to pull back from its over-extended position before making a run for overhead resistance at its 200DMA.

TechnipFMC (FTI)

Description: TechnipFMC provides technology and services to the energy industry, including offshore and subsea projects.
Technical status: TechnipFMC (FTI) broke below its 50DMA support on increased volume, creating a bearish technical signal after a tremendous run-up.
Trade commentary: FTI demonstrates the power of a simple technical idea supported by a fundamental move. On October 23, 2025, FTI jumped 9.1% post-earnings and recovered from a brief 50DMA breakdown. I bought a small dip the next day. Overall, FTI was in the middle of a recovery and choppy uptrend from its 2020 to 2022 lows. From there, I stuck with the trend as the stock printed an all-time high in mid-January and next continued to rally without testing its 50DMA support…until May 8th. The stock perfectly tested support and rebounded. However, last week, FTI broke support with a 5.6% loss on significant trading volume. Reluctantly, I took profits given the context of a tepid reaction to the last earnings report. I will continue to watch the trading action and may jump back in on a recovery of 50DMA support. Otherwise, the stock is at risk of an eventual test of 200DMA support.

TechnipFMC (FTI) broke below its 50DMA support on increased volume, creating a bearish technical signal after a tremendous run-up.

Reddit, Inc (RDDT)

Description: Reddit operates an online platform where users create, share, and discuss content in communities.
Technical status: Reddit (RDDT) produced a strong three-day rally and recovered from a prior breakdown with Meta’s new Forum.
Trade commentary: I kept a close eye on RDDT after the 50DMA breakdown and then the additional loss on the news of Meta’s new Forum (color me a skeptic).
