The commentary reported in various media last week are quite telling (see &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB10001424052970204528204577009152325076454.html\" target=\"_blank\">Doubts Cloud Tokyo&#8217;s Yen Intervention<\/a>&#8221; in the WSJ and &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/id\/45112430\/Japan_Keeps_Market_Edgy_After_100_Billion_Intervention\" target=\"_blank\">Japan Keeps Market Edgy After $100 Billion Intervention<\/a>&#8221; in Reuters):<\/p>\n<p>{snip}<\/p>\n<p>I am in the &#8220;this time is different&#8221; camp&#8230; {snip}<\/p>\n<p>I closed out bearish yen positions into the immediate aftermath of the intervention. As the impact wore off during the week against other currencies, I rebuilt bearish yen positions. I am using AUD\/JPY to play the current trading range until it breaks out or down.
