The report covers recent econonmic and financial developments, monetary policy, and a summary of economic projections. A month ago, <a href=\"http:\/\/seekingalpha.com\/article\/2268933-priceline-deal-for-opentable-helps-calibrate-valuations-of-internet-stocks\" target=\"_blank\">I looked at valuations of internet-related companies<\/a> based on price-to-sales ratios, some of which fall into the small-cap or &#8220;smaller firm&#8221; category for social media, to point out that the Priceline Group (PCLN) deal for Open Table (OPEN) helped to calibrate valuations for this space. {snip}<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_23350\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-23350\" style=\"width: 540px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/drduru.com\/onetwentytwo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/140715_YELP.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/drduru.com\/onetwentytwo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/140715_YELP.png\" alt=\"YELP reverses most of its gains from post-deal excitement\" width=\"550\" height=\"375\" class=\"size-full wp-image-23350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/drduru.com\/onetwentytwo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/140715_YELP.png 550w, https:\/\/drduru.com\/onetwentytwo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/140715_YELP-300x204.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-23350\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">YELP reverses most of its gains from post-deal excitement<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\n<strong>Source for all charts: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freestockcharts.com\/platform\/v1\" target=\"_blank\">FreeStockChart.com<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p>I also mention YELP because CNBC&#8217;s Jim Cramer used the stock to highlight the Fed&#8217;s statement on social media valuations in &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/id\/101838720\" target=\"_blank\">Cramer: Janet Yellen saying short Yelp?<\/a>&#8220;. Cramer recommended that the Fed target margin rates to extremely high levels rather than target specific stocks to bring valuations down. However, I think he hit the wrong point.
