TBT has even climbed back to the point where the breakout occurred that convinced me a bottom was finally in.<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_19505\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19505\" style=\"width: 540px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/drduru.com\/onetwentytwo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/130823_TBT.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/drduru.com\/onetwentytwo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/130823_TBT.png\" alt=\"The long, hard road for TBT\" width=\"550\" height=\"375\" class=\"size-full wp-image-19505\" srcset=\"https:\/\/drduru.com\/onetwentytwo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/130823_TBT.png 550w, https:\/\/drduru.com\/onetwentytwo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/130823_TBT-300x204.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-19505\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The long, hard road for TBT<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\n<strong>Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freestockcharts.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">FreeStockCharts.com<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p>I consider this overdue &#8220;vindication&#8221; quite tenuous. The fear of deflation that has given the Federal Reserve a free pass still runs thick. {snip}<\/p>\n<p>TBT may still be topped out for a while because the market seems to have very rapidly priced in an end to the Federal Reserve&#8217;s bond purchases even as the Fed has insisted it will remain accommodative well into 2015 (and beyond if warranted by inflation and jobs numbers). The Fed is far from raising short-term rates, and the threat of more interventions to manipulate long-term rates is always looming.<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<figure id=\"attachment_19506\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19506\" style=\"width: 540px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/drduru.com\/onetwentytwo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/130823_LTRates.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/drduru.com\/onetwentytwo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/130823_LTRates.png\" alt=\"A rapid rise in rates.
