Kim Casts Doubt On Her Exit from Real Housewives of Atlanta

In late March, Kim directly and clearly stated in a radio interview that she was done with The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA). Two days ago, in an exclusive interview with Hello Beautiful, Kim made a surprising about face and cast some doubt as to whether she is really done with the catty reality show. Here is what HB printed from its interview with Kim:

‘No decisions have been made about RHOA, as I am focusing on my dancing adventure’ she told HB.

‘When designing a career, as I have been doing for the last 40 years, there are many factors involved,’ Kim explained, adding that she considers all of her blessings and opportunities before deciding what is best for her and for her family.

I found Kim’s use of the word “designing” VERY interesting! Usually, the word “developing” is used when describing the growth and trajectory of a career. “Design” implies careful and controlled construction whereas “develop” implies a more iterative process that bends with opportunities and blessings that may come along the way. In other words, it sounds like Kim is being very strategic and this back and forth on whether she is really finished with the show could all be part of the design to keep the buzz going.

I could of course be reading FAR too much between the lines, but I think this consideration is good food for thought. 🙂
